Our association aims to:
- Promoting an efficient relationship between clients and contractors through the application of the Belgian SCC certification system, its derivatives and the BeSaCC attestation system;
- Organising and managing the VCA and BeSaCC systems, each according to its specificity;
- Establishing, interpreting and modifying the lists of criteria for SCC and BeSaCC;
- Awarding BeSaCC certificates;
- Develop all useful actions in the application of occupational safety and health evaluation systems in the relationship between clients and contractors.
Our association does this on the basis of an agreement with the SSVV (Stichting Samenwerken Voor Veiligheid). This agreement regulates the application of the SCC system in Belgium and the related use of the word and logo. Annexes to the agreement contain a number of rules regarding our cooperation with certification bodies and examination centres in Belgium. These rules are reflected in our agreements and regulations. The agreement with the SSVV can be found at here find.
VCA 2017/6.0: "The Stichting Samenwerken Voor Veiligheid (SSVV) owns the SCC word and figurative mark and, in that capacity, has filed the rights to it internationally. The non-profit organisation Contractor Safety Management(CSM asbl) is authorised by the SSVV/CCVD-VCA to use the VCA certification system in Belgium. The role of the non-profit association CSM en the UCvD-VCA in Belgium is in line with that of the SSVV and the CCVD-VCA in the Netherlands.“
